Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, but there is a minimum cutting value for fabric. Most cottons are available as a fat quarter. Other fabrics smallest length starts from half a meter. From there it goes up in quarter meter increments. The more you order the better value in post. Remember orders over £40 are delivered free!
Is the colour of the fabric exactly the same as it appears on screen?
We try our very best to show a true colour for each fabric, but depending upon your PC’s monitor settings, the colour of the fabric may vary from that shown online. There is always the possibility that goods may vary in colour and texture; unfortunately, this is unavoidable and does not constitute a defect. The same fabric can vary slightly between different rolls or manufacturing batches just like wallpaper. If you would like to see the fabric for yourself, please buy a fat quarter check before ordering larger amounts.
Will I receive my fabric in a single length?
Yes, all fabrics are cut to order so any custom length order will be in one continuous length. Fat quarters and are sent as individual items even if of the same fabric.
Is sewing thread that matches available?
We have almost everything! On each fabric page you will see a “goes well with” and buttons option. There is also the option “please add matching thread”. We will lovingly select the best match thread for you as we have the fabric in front of us. You can also email us any requests.
How will I know the direction of the print or if stripes run horizontally or vertically?
We try to show many pictures of the fabric including one with a tape measure – which will show you the direction accross the with of the roll, also one of the selvedge (edge of the fabric) which will also show direction.
Can I change or cancel an order once it has been placed?
If you wish to change or cancel your order, please get in touch with us straight away as we like to dispatch orders within the next working day.
Do I have to be registered to place an order?
No. You can make a purchase in our shop as a guest, too. If you order as a guest, your details are not stored, since no customer account is created for you. If you would like to register for your next order, you can do this using the same e-mail address. Of course, you can also place multiple orders as a visitor.
To order as a visitor: Finish shopping and proceed to checkout. You then have the option to register or to order as a visitor. Registered customers have the advantage of being able to review the status of their orders whenever they wish, and keep their favourites list.
Are there any discounts?
We already keep our prices as low as we can – so you don’t need to worry about missing out on offers. However, should you wish to order large quantities of an item, or for orders over £150 please contact us and we will consider individually.
Is there a way of storing my watch list?
Yes. You can gather together your favourite items and store them for registered customers, and for guests for a period of only 30 days.
Which is the quickest way of contacting you?
We are a bricks and mortar shop – a 3 floor department store ie. Not just an office for online sales so although you can email us anytime, we may not be at the computer desk. If you need a quick answer you may want to give us a call.

How much is post?
The post and packing charge for orders is based on the size and weight of your order and will update in your basket automatically. So it makes sense to group what you need in one parcel to use the post efficiently.
Remember… We offer free post for all orders over £40
How long is the delivery period?
You will find the date of despatch in your order confirmation. We usually dispatch by the next working day. Depending on the size of the parcel it may be sent by royal Mail or by courier – if Royal Mail it can be with you between 1 and 2 days, courier 3-4. Any special requests for guaranteed/next day services please get in touch.
Can I track the status of my parcel?
You will receive confirmation of despatch to the email you have provided at checkout. If your parcel is large and sent by courier you can reply email and request the tracking number so you can check on it’s progress
Can I provide an alternative address for delivery?
Yes. You can specify an alternative address for delivery in your customer account or during the order placement process by filling in the shipping address.
As fabric is cut to your required measurements it is not something that we would normally offer a return on in the shop. However, we want you to be happy with your purchase from us. Please notify by email of any intended return within 48 hours, and return within 14 days. Return postage will not be refunded.
How do I get my money back?
The refund will take place in the same manner as your payment, and will be actioned once the fabric has been retuned to us in the same condition as was received.
